Theme 1 : The Farm

Supergen Wind 1 looked at a number of different areas in relation to the operation of the farm. The results of Supergen Wind 1 and other research projects, some of which have been described in Section 0, have highlighted a number of further areas of research for Supergen Wind 2, namely:

An improved estimate of the offshore wind resource;
Work on improved prediction of losses in large wind turbine arrays;
Expanding work on radar impacts;
An analysis of offshore (as opposed to onshore) wind turbine reliability data.
